It is estimated that at least 30,000 boys do not have a home in the entire region of Dakar, the capital of Senegal.

According to the UN, this is the biggest phenomenon of street children in the world. To help change the lives of these young people, a group of volunteers deployed the Chemin du Futur (Path to the Future) orphanage, a home that offers affection and education.

Fraternity without Borders has supported the project since 2011, and today the orphanage is maintained by sponsors who contribute monthly to the cause. The routine is discipline, and in addition to school and healthcare, it includes music, sports, and job training.

We cultivate a garden on the site and, in 2017, we implemented a poultry farm with the objective of making the project self-sustaining and also transforming poultry into vocational training for the young.

We are working together, so profitable activities like this will thrive and help welcome more street children.
